I am still completely overwhelmed with all of the “newness” of many areas vying for my attention. There is so much to look at and consider in the design and the accessorizing that I feel as if I am walking in a dream. My husband feels similarly as it I just so much to take in. That being said, my home looks stunning! I keep flashing back to the initial meetings with our Architect and then with you in which we communicated our desire to have a home to reflect a new chapter in our lives and which was not comfortable in the sense that our previous home, furnished before we had a cottage, was. We wanted something gracious, elegant and reflective of the fact that we have many influences in our lives coming from a myriad of directions. We are not defined by Restoration Hardware, an antique store in town or local furniture shops; we are all of those things and more put together in a unique blend that spells out O’Hanlon. What you have given us in the completed areas is a blend of our wish list that is exciting yet elegant, chic but not boring, modern yet still comfortable. Above all, it is beautiful. Over the next few days I know I will be lifting every accessory and learning what it is and figuring out why it was placed there. I will be looking at each space in every light and from every angle to appreciate the secrets that each view unfolds as this is part of the complexity at which you excel.
